Our Process | Key Materials | TRL Status

For roadmapping the process, we engage through: Formulation R&D (TRL 3–4): bench-scale mixing of pozzolanic binders + recycled polymers. Pilot Planning: CPI to host 1 t/day pilot—press prototypes to ASTM/EN testing. Validation: mechanical, thermal, fire, durability tests; LCA & EPD. Commercial Roll-Out: demo plant design & off-take strategy. Materials used: Cementitious Binders: fly ash (40 %), GGBS (30 %), lime (5 %). Aggregates: UK sand/soil (60 %), recycled glass (5 %). Polymers: PET/LDPE blend (up to 10 %). Additives: polycarboxylate plasticizers, bio-surfactants, optional hemp fiber. Technology Readiness Level Bench-scale compressive strength: 15 MPa (target >20 MPa). Initial hardness tests: 12 BHN (tensile ≈45 MPa). 40 % carbon cut vs. OPC bricks (LCA modelled).

A brick kiln where several workers are molding clay into bricks. Rows of stacked bricks line the sides, and a dirt pathway runs through the middle. Workers are engaged in labor-intensive tasks, with one pushing a wheelbarrow filled with materials.
